Even now I wonder. I look out at the waves at night, search faces in all of the airports we traveled in, hunt the world for any sign of you. You live absolutely everywhere. You are in my dreams, you are in my morning coffee, my passenger seat, the bay in Miami, the bridge to South Beach, the abandoned boats off the coast in Jupiter, the swing set in the beach park in Palm Beach, in every serving of red curry, in every house music song, in every island accent. You haunt me, live with me, entangle your life into mine. Even now I wonder where you physically are, as your soul continues to dance with mine. I wonder where I disappear to when I enter every new relationship, as my soul stays with yours on some abandoned beach on the island. If our souls still live together in sync, where do our physical bodies live? Don’t others that we touch realize that we are not there?
